The morning after.
I hope you were able to attend the Corvallis Music History Project Family Reunion that was held June 6th and 7th in Corvallis at the Old World Center, with music in the Old World Deli, historic instruments on display in the Pegasus Gallery, and video archiving of musician's stories in the Pegasus Gallery as well. What a magnificent setting, and many thanks to everyone who made the event possible. If you were there as an audience member, a volunteer, working the cash register at the deli, behind a camera or as a performer or just wandered in looking for some fine art or a bagel, tell the world what the event meant to you and share your pictures by contacting us here and we'll incorporate your words and pictures into the website.
If you missed the event, we are working with KBVR and with local filmmaker Chris Christopherson to put together a video, and we hope to have some of the interviews and possibly more here on the website soon.
If you are a musician of any ilk who showed up and wasn't on the schedule, I hope you took the time to fill in the questionnaire, as we will be using your words to add to the living history this site attempts to represent. If you missed the opportunity to fill in the questionnaire, contact us here.
If you wanted to perform and didn't get to, rest assured that we will be doing this again. History doesn't stop, so why should we? You can contact us here.
If you were "just a member of the audience" (You humble ones you. Without you we are just bellowing in the dark.) If you were in the audience, we want you to tell your story too. You can contact us here.
If you weren't there, or if you just want to reminisce, we have archived the program information here.
If you were involved in making this happen and have a website, we want to send some eyes your way, so -- lather, rinse, repeat -- contact us here.
In closing, I would like to quote Abraham Lincoln as portrayed by the late Robert V. Barron in the classic film Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure:
"These two great gentlemen are dedicated to a proposition which was true in my time, just as it's true today. Be excellent to each other. And... PARTY ON, DUDES!"
Thank you all,
Sean
